The Kaduna State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reaffirmed its loyalty to the party and declared its readiness to reclaim power in the 2027 general elections.
The position was adopted at the party’s Expanded Caucus Meeting held at the Asaa Pyramid Hall in Kaduna, which drew party leaders, stakeholders, elected and former office holders, and members from across the state.
Speaking to journalists after the meeting, the State Chairman of the PDP, Hon. Edward Percy Masha, said the caucus reviewed the state of the party in Kaduna and briefed members on ongoing efforts at the national level to reposition and strengthen the PDP.

According to him, party leaders outlined concrete steps being taken to address internal challenges, restore unity, and prepare the party for future elections. Members were also given the opportunity to express their concerns and make suggestions.
“The discussions helped to allay fears, restore confidence, and reinforce belief in the PDP as a viable political platform,” Masha said.
He added that the caucus unanimously resolved to remain united and committed to building a stronger and more cohesive PDP in Kaduna State.
Masha further stated that as Nigeria’s leading opposition party with structures at ward, local government, state, and national levels, the PDP in Kaduna is fully prepared to mobilize its members and win all elective positions in the 2027 general elections.
The party also expressed openness to strategic alliances with other like-minded political parties and stakeholders, aimed at ending APC-led governance beyond 2027 and offering Nigerians credible, people-centred leadership.
Party members interested in contesting elective offices were encouraged to declare their intentions, with assurances of internal democracy, fairness, and inclusiveness.
The meeting ended with a renewed sense of unity and determination to reposition the PDP as a credible alternative capable of winning elections and delivering good governance.
