In a unanimous decision, the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Kaduna state branch has re-elected Alhaji Aliyu Tanimu Zaria as its State Chairman for a second term of four years.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at NURTW Luxury Hotel in Kaduna,Thursday.
This followed their successful State Quadrennial Delegates Conference and election in line with the Union’s Constitution.
The legal Officer of the union Barr. S. A Udaga, Administered the oath of office, charged the newly elected officials, saying, “You are entrusted with the responsibility to uphold the Constitution in piloting the affairs of the union for the next four years. We expect nothing short of dedication and integrity.”
Aliyu Tanimu Zaria, in his acceptance speech, expressed gratitude to the members of the union for their trust and support.
“I am deeply honored by the confidence you have placed in me. I promise to carry everyone along and not to disappoint,” said Tanimu.
