The Yobe   State Commissioner for Religious Affaris Alhaji Yusuf U mar Potiskum,  has received the Award of excellence as an “Icon Of Nation Building by the Northern Tourism Journalist’s.

Yusuf U mar, received the award at a ceremony held on Friday at Damaturu the Yobe state capital..

Presenting the award , the acting National Vice president of the Union Commrade Rabo Haladu, said after an in -dept investigation carried out by a team of journalists on the activities of Ministry of Religious affairs, the union resolved to honor the Commissioner as an “Icon Of Nation Building” based on his outstanding role and contribution towards National development and swlfleaa services to humanity in Yobe state.

Comrade Haladu, noted that having trailed his contribution to human capital development, welfare, and humanitarian pursuit in Yobe state  and beyond,  the union agreed without a doubt that Yusuf Umar,  is worthy of the Award.

He specially thanked His Excellency, Governor Mai Mala Buni for his foresight in appointing a very competent and highly intelligent man to pilot the affairs of the Religious Ministry in Yobe  State.

The Union also described the Commissioner as a man of great intellectual capacity, creativity and prudent,  added that he has demonstrated outstanding qualities that greatly impacted on numerous people and the society at large.

While receiving the award, the Commissioner, appreciated the union for honouring him as an “Icon Of Nation Building by the Journalists promised to work together for the betterment of Yo be state.

He thanked the Delegations that comes all the way from Kaduna to presenting the award to him, he prayed for the success of the union.
