Lawmaker Laud Governor  Uba Sani For  Implementing 26% Budget Allocation To Education

The Chairman House Committee on Education Kaduna House of Assembly Hon. (Barr.) Mahmud Lawal Ismaila, said Kaduna state Government been a trailblazer in implementing a 26% budget allocation to education, setting a commendable precedent. Additionally.



Hon. (Barr.) Mahmud Lawal Ismaila who is also a Member, Kaduna State House of Assembly representing Zaria City Constituency noted that Governor’s Uba Sani initiative to reduce state tertiary institutions by 50% stands as a significant achievement.

The Chairman stated this at the 28th Graduation ceremony by the Center for Human Resource Development and Empowerment For Initiative In Collaboration with National Open University ( NOUN) Center for Human Resource Development Kaduna.



According to him , the transformation of more than 100 junior secondary schools into senior secondary schools with enhanced infrastructure, the establishment of 3 skills acquisition centers in the 3 senetorial zones and the construction of an additional 62 secondary schools across the state marks another remarkable milestone”

He said government’s focused efforts on addressing the issue of out-of-school children have resulted in the successful return of over 10,000 students, underscoring their dedication to education.

” The released of N205 million to Kaduna State Scholarship and Loans Board is another great achievement of the Kaduna State Government under Sen. Dr. Uba Sani. These accomplishments represent just a fraction of the government’s initiatives”
He urged the  graduating students to Embrace the challenges that lie ahead with courage and determination, knowing that you are equipped with the knowledge and skills to succeed.

“As we celebrate the achievements of these graduates, let us also reflect on the responsibilities that come with the knowledge and skills they have acquired”

“May they use their education to make a positive impact on the world around them, to inspire others, and to strive for excellence in all their endeavors”

He therefore express sincere gratitude to  National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN)  for  unwavering support towards education and community development in the state.

The Lawmaker,  encourage other Institutions in the State to emulate the  good gesture and help to the youths and the State in general.
