Kano Local Government Commissioner Commissions Projects At Tarauni LG

Kano State Deputy Governor and Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo has commissioned developmental projects executed by Tarauni local government Interim management Committee.

The commissioned projects include: newly constructed Works and Housing department block, renovated local government secretariat annex and modernized office of the chairman, distribution of free essential drugs to all health facilities in the local government area and issuance of 20,000 outpatient and 2000 ante natal cards to health centers.

Others are; issuance of appointment letters to 75 BESDA teachers, donation of patrol vehicles to Yar Akwa and Farm center police stations, presentation of three motor cycles to local DSS office, Filin Hockey and Hotoro police stations, and issuance of Mats and Kettles to ten Islamiyya and Tsangaya schools.

In his address at the commissioning held at local government secretariat, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo applauded the courageous and tireless effort of the Interim management Committee under Alhaji Abdullahi Ibrahim Bashir for their resilience, dedication and hard work.

He called on other local government Interim Chairmen across the state to emulate Tarauni local government Interim council in executing viable projects that have direct bearing to the lives of people of their localities.

Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo reiterated the commitment of the present administration under Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf of ensuring the provision of basic amenities in the nooks and crannies of the state.

Earlier speaking, the Interim management Committee chairman of Tarauni local government, Alhaji Abdullahi Ibrahim Bashir said the projects commissioned were provided by the desire of the management council to deliver dividends of democracy to people at the grassroot.

Alhaji Abdullahi Ibrahim Bashir maintained that the council was committed in ensuring security of lives and property of people of the local government as such it supported security operatives in the area to improve their performance.

The chairman spoke at length on the achievements of the local administration in the areas of renovation of 100 hundred hand pumps, conversion of ten to motorized solar powered, drainages clearance and evacuation of refuse in ten wards of the local government.

” The council also completed Police Area Command, Divisional police offices, and new Fire Service station all at Court Road, Gyadi-Gyadi. I appealed to the state government to furnish the buildings and supply 2 patrol vehicles to allow for its commissioning.” Said Chairman Abdullahi Ibrahim

He thanked Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Deputy Governor and Commissioner for Local Government, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo for executing meaningful projects in Tarauni praying for more to develop the socio-economic perspective of the area.

In a goodwill message, the House of Representatives member representing Tarauni Federal Constituency, Engineer Mukhtar Umar Yarima, commended Kano State Government for approving the execution of lives touching projects in the 44 local governments of the state.

Engineer Mukhtar Umar Yarima urged people in the local government to continue to rally the state and local governments for more developmental programs expressing optimism on Tarauni local government chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Ibrahim that he will justify the confidence reposed in him.
