The Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission KADSIECOM has concluded the screening of 76 chairman and councilloship candidates from 10 from political parties, for the forthcoming Local Government elections in the state.

Addressing newsmen at the end of the exercise, the Commission’s Chairman, Hajiya Hajara Muhammad described it as successful.

According to her during the screening exercise there was Representations from the Police, DSS, NDLEA and the Board for Internal Revenue Services.

She called on the candidates to peacefully and orderly conduct themselves in the forthcoming elections, to achieve success.

Hajiya Hajara explained that ten political parties with seventy six contestants participated in the screening exercise conducted by the KADSIECOM.

The Chairman added that the contestants also presented various documents on educational qualification and others, as well as prove of payment of tax.

She then appealed to people of Kaduna State to cooperate and support KADSIECOM to achieve success
