As the celebration of Maulud continues worldwide, marking the birth of the Holy Prophet Mohammed, some Muslims at the ‘Yan Doya Central Mosque in Kaduna State, Nigeria, organize a gathering aimed at fostering relationships, peace, love, and unity.

Pastor Dr. Yohanna Buru, the General Overseer of Christ Evangelical and Life Intervention Ministry, was invited to deliver a lecture on peace, unity, tolerance, and harmony among different faiths base organization in the country .

Addressing hundreds of attendees at the Maulud Nabi at ‘Yan Doya central Mosque in Kaduna, Pastor Dr Buru emphasized the importance of peace and unity among adherents of various faiths.

He urged citizens to pray for the nation’s peace and unity.

He noted that each year, the mosque invites him and other Christian scholars to participate in the Maulud celebration, promoting dialogue on fostering peace and unity between Muslims and Christians in the state.

He highlighted that the Maulud celebration offers an excellent opportunity for interfaith interaction and dialogue to promote religious tolerance.

Pastor Buru also mentioned that during Ramadan, the chief imam invites Christians to join Muslims in an interfaith iftar breakfast to celebrate peace and unity in the month of Ramadan

Adding that, The prophet Mohammed SAW is for all mankind irrespective of tribe ,color, race, regions, and continent

“This year alone, I attended over 15 different Maulud celebrations in the state and neighboring areas,” he stated. “We are one family under God, children of Adam and Eve, with holy texts—the Bible and the Qur’an—encouraging us to strengthen our relationships.”

He expressed gratitude to Muslims for inviting him and other Christians to the annual Maulud celebration, adding that during Christmas, many Muslims join Christians to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ to poster peace and unity

He congratulates Muslims worldwide on this year maulud and urged them to keep spreading the message of peace, unity and religious tolerance

In response, Muslim preacher Mallam Gambo Abdullahi Barnawa praised Pastor Buru as a man of peace, recognized internationally for his commitment to promoting harmony.

He highlighted that two years ago, King Abdullah of Jordan honored Pastor Dr Buru with an international award for his contributions during the United Nations World Interfaith Harmony Week 2022.

He emphasized that even during Eid al-Adha celebration , Pastor Dr Buru visits Muslims at the prayer grounds to congratulate them on their celebrations.
