Provost College of Nursing Sciences Damaturu, Bags Community Action For Good Governance Award As Best Performing Provost of The Year

The Provost College of Nursing Sciences Damaturu, Hajiya Hadiza Sabo, was honored with a prestigious award by Community Action for Good Governance (CAGG) in recognition of her outstanding role, exceptional leadership and transformative contributions to healthcare education in.

The award celebrated her visionary stewardship, which has elevated academic standards, fostered innovation in nursing training, and strengthened community health initiatives in Yobe State. Under her guidance, the institution has become a beacon of excellence, producing skilled professionals who address critical healthcare needs. In her remarks, Hajiya Hadiza Sabo thank the Team for finding her worthy of this award and expressed her deep gratitude to the administration of His Excellency Honorable Mai Mala Buni the executive governor of Yobe State. for entrusting her with the opportunity to lead the institution, emphasizing that without this platform, her accomplishments would not have merited such recognition. The Provost also acknowledged the pivotal role played by the management staffs and College’s Governing Council, commending their unwavering support in realizing her vision and achievements. She highlighted that their collaborative guidance and trust were instrumental in driving institutional progress and fostering a conducive environment for nursing education and healthcare delivery’s.


The Provost disclosed to the members of CAGG that with the support of His Excellency governor Mai Mala Buni, under her leadership, the college has recorded a lot of achievement which includes introducing of ICT centre, newly constructed college gate and fence, library, 200 beds female hostels, nursing administrative block, GST public health department and many more.
