The Director Elkanemi College of Islamic Theology Maiduguri, Borno State, Mal Alqadi Zubairu Muhammad Wasagu, has congratulated Vice President Kashim Shettima on the occasion of his 59th birthday, describing him as a mentor whose leadership has inspired many across the country.

Alqadi, in a message on behalf of the college management, staff and the students, said the vice president’s vision, integrity, and humility have shaped leaders in Borno, the Northeast, and beyond.

“Your mentorship has guided us through challenges and inspired us to strive for excellence. Your humility remains a hallmark of true leadership, while your intellectual prowess has consistently informed sound policies and strengthened national discourse,” Alqadi stated.

The director also recalled Shettima’s rise through public service, from his years as commissioner to his time as governor of Borno, chairman of the Northern Governors Forum, senator, and now vice president of Nigeria.

According to Mal Zubairu, Shettima’s record shows steadfast dedication to service and unity, which has earned him the pride of the people of Borno and Nigerians in general.

He prayed for sound health, wisdom, and long life for the vice president as he continues to serve the country
