The Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN), Kaduna Chapter, has reaffirmed its commitment to humanitarian service and community development with an end-of-year outreach to the Jam’iyyar Matan Arewa (JMA) Orphanage Home in Kaduna.

The visit, which took place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the orphanage located at No. 12 Dendo Road, Kaduna, formed part of APWEN Kaduna Chapter’s annual community service activities aimed at supporting vulnerable groups and giving back to society.

Welcoming the delegation, the President of Jam’iyyar Matan Arewa, Hajiya Rabi Musa Saulawa, expressed profound appreciation to APWEN for the kind gesture. She noted that the donated items would go a long way in enhancing the daily welfare, care, and management of the children at the home.

Speaking during the visit, the Chairman of APWEN Kaduna Chapter, Engr. Bilkisu Danjuma, commended the management of the orphanage for the impressive level of cleanliness, organization, and care provided for the children. She encouraged the caregivers to sustain the standard, stressing the importance of creating a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for the growth and wellbeing of the children.

Engr. Danjuma further emphasized that the outreach reflects APWEN’s dedication to social responsibility, humanitarian service, and community development, in line with the association’s core values and mandate.

The visit was made more memorable as it coincided with the orphanage’s end-of-year celebration, creating an atmosphere of joy, warmth, and shared happiness between APWEN members and the children.

The outreach underscores APWEN Kaduna Chapter’s resolve to continue impacting lives positively and contributing meaningfully to societal development through compassion-driven initiatives and professional service.
