The Kaduna State Chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially disowned a letter circulating in the media purportedly authored by Hon Adamu Bello, which claimed to speak on behalf of the party regarding office relocation and related activities.
In a statement issued by the State Publicity Secretary, Engr. Idris Musa, the party clarified that the letter is entirely unauthorized, misleading, and does not reflect the position of the ADC Kaduna State leadership. The statement emphasized that neither the State Executive Committee (SEC) nor the State Working Committee (SWC) had approved any resolution regarding the relocation of the party secretariat, formation of a Local Organising Committee (LOC), or the establishment of a Fund Raising and Office Equipment Committee.
“The letter authored by Hon Adamu Bello is therefore entirely unauthorized, reckless, misleading and does not represent the position, decision, or directive of the ADC Kaduna State leadership,” the statement read.
Engr. Musa warned the general public, party members, stakeholders, and the media to disregard the letter, which carries no authority or recognition within the party. He described the actions of Adamu Bello as a “gross act of indiscipline” and a deliberate attempt to cause confusion and embarrass the party.
The party assured its members that disciplinary measures would be imposed on Bello and any other individuals found complicit in the incident, in accordance with the party constitution. The ADC Kaduna State leadership reaffirmed its commitment to internal democracy, discipline, and lawful conduct, emphasizing that any attempts to misrepresent the party would be resisted through legal and democratic means.
The statement concluded by reiterating that the ADC in Kaduna State remains united, law-abiding, and committed to transparency and constitutional order
