Dr. Muhammed Sani Suleiman Unveils “100 Errors in Child Upbringing”

The Excellent Child Support Forum, in collaboration with Assahabath Islamic College, Kaduna, has officially launched a new book titled “100 Errors in Child Upbringing,” aimed at addressing critical challenges facing parents, guardians, and educators in raising morally sound and responsible children.

The book launch ceremony took place at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Hall, Kaduna, and attracted scholars, educationists, religious leaders, parents, students, and members of the public with keen interest in child development and family values.

Speaking at the event, the author of the book, Dr. Muhammed Sani Suleiman, described the publication as a timely and important guide designed to help shape the future of child upbringing in society. According to him, the book carefully identifies common mistakes often made by parents and caregivers, while offering practical solutions rooted in sound moral, educational, and Islamic principles.

Dr. Suleiman explained that many social problems confronting society today can be traced to errors made during early childhood development. He noted that the book was written to create awareness among parents on the need to be deliberate, patient, and knowledgeable in the upbringing of children, stressing that a child’s foundation largely determines the kind of adult he or she becomes.

According to him “The essence of this book is to guide families and society at large on the right approach to raising children. When upbringing is neglected or handled wrongly, the consequences affect not just the family, but the entire community,” he said.

Dr. Suleiman, who is also the Director of Assahabath Islamic College, Kaduna, emphasized the role of education both formal and moral in nurturing disciplined and responsible children. He called on parents, teachers, and religious leaders to work together in correcting common parenting mistakes and promoting values such as respect, discipline, empathy, and responsibility.

In her remarks , head of schoolAl-Amanah  Academy  Kaduna Hajiya Fatima Hamza Maiborno  commended Dr. Suleiman for his commitment to child welfare and education. 

She described the book as a valuable resource that would serve as a reference material for parents, schools, counselors, and policy makers concerned with child development and family stability.

Hajiya Fatima who double as Chairman Board of Trustee of Al-Amanah Academy, noted that the  book will protecs children’s rights, improving parenting skills, and building a morally upright future generation.

She a call on the public to support initiatives that promote proper child upbringing, stressing that investing in children today is an investment in a peaceful and prosperous society tomorrow.

Highlights of the event included prayers, goodwill messages, a review of the book’s contents, and the formal unveiling of the publication. Participants at the launch expressed optimism that “100 Errors in Child Upbringing” would have a positive impact on families and contribute to addressing social vices linked to poor parenting.
