Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Jawa, Founder and National Coordinator of the Arewa Strategic Implementation Group for Atiku, has expressed appreciation to the Northwest Zonal Leadership, State Coordinators, and members of the group for the confidence reposed in his leadership amid ongoing consultations on a possible political realignment.
The group is reportedly considering a strategic shift from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), a development that signals a significant political adjustment within the movement.
Addressing a press conference in Kaduna, Professor Jawa commended the leadership and members for what he described as their maturity, patriotism, and political foresight in carefully assessing Nigeria’s current political realities before making any major decision.
He noted that as a socio-political movement committed to promoting the interests of the North, national unity, and democratic stability, its actions must remain guided by the prevailing political environment and the broader interest of its members.
Professor Jawa also acknowledged the efforts of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, particularly in the areas of economic reforms, infrastructure development, security, and the Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at repositioning the country for sustainable growth.
He further stated that he has carefully noted the position and recommendations of the Northwest Zone, adding that consultations would continue in order to ensure a responsible and well-coordinated political transition process.
“With your continued support, cooperation, and collective commitment, I shall commence the necessary consultations required to actualize this important political realignment in a responsible and strategic manner,” he said.
Professor Jawa reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive leadership, national unity, and the democratic development of Nigeria.
The development comes amid increasing political realignments within opposition and support groups ahead of future elections, as stakeholders reassess their positions within Nigeria’s evolving political landscape.
