The Sarkin Margunawa of Kano residents, Ptil. Marghi Wadzani Adamu, has congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, urging citizens to continue promoting unity, peace, and harmonious coexistence among different ethnic and religious groups in Kano State and across Nigeria.
In his Eid message, Wadzani Adamu also congratulated the Kano State Government under the leadership of Governor Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf for the successful celebration of the festival. He commended the administration for executing developmental projects across various sectors aimed at improving the lives of the people.
The traditional leader further extended his greetings to the Kano Emirate Council under the leadership of Khalifa Muhammad Sanusi II, praising the Emirate for its role in fostering unity and for the support and care shown to the Marghi community in Kano.
According to him, the Marghi community has continued to live peacefully and harmoniously with other ethnic groups in Kano since the days of their forefathers, assuring that they would remain committed to contributing positively to the development of the state.
Wadzani Adamu also advised parents to give proper upbringing and education to their children, stressing the importance of equipping them with knowledge and self-reliance skills to become responsible members of society.
Addressing the youth, he warned against involvement in drug abuse, thuggery, and other social vices capable of destroying their future. He further cautioned them against allowing desperate politicians to use them to cause unrest as the 2027 general elections draw closer.
He emphasized the need for political activities to be conducted peacefully and responsibly in the interest of stability and development.
