The National President Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria IPMAN Alhaji Abubakar Maigandi Shettima has commended the effort and giant strides of Aliko Dangote for making the Dangote Refinery Project a reality.

He made the commendation in an interview with some Kaduna based Journalists after a familiarisation and assessment visit to the Dangote Refinery in Lagos.

The IPMAN’s President said during their visit to the Dangote Refinery, they were well received by the management team, where key discussions were held, as well as promise for partnership with the association was made

Alhaji Abubakar Maigandi Shettima also explained that the management of the refinery have indicated interest to supply the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association  Motor Spirit PMS that is petroleum directly.

The IPMAN’s Boss therefore appealed to the association’s members to excercise patience for the supply of the Dangote products to them when things normalise as  as promised.

The National President of the IPMAN disclosed that him and his team were also  opportuned to pay a similar assessment visit to Port Harcourt Refinery, where he pointed out that serious maintenance work is on going there.

According to him the PortHacourt Refinery rehabilitation project was a gigantic one which involves changing most of the equipment parts with new ones, saying they were equally highly impressed with level of dedication and commitment of the handlers of the rehabilitation work in the refinery.

Alhaji Maigandi Shettima added that they were also conducted round various operational sections where they effectively assessed the maintenance work which had reached satisfactory level
