Retired Commissioner of Police, Ali D. Audu, who also serves as the Commander of the Kaduna State Vigilance Service (KADVS), has commended the First Aid Group of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) for honouring Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, in recognition of his contributions to peace, security and humanitarian development in the state.

Audu made the commendation in an interview with journalists at the 50th anniversary celebration of the First Aid Group of JNI, held in Kaduna.

He said the decision of the First Aid Group to honour Governor Uba Sani was timely and well deserved, noting that the governor has demonstrated strong commitment to security, youth engagement and community-based initiatives that complement the efforts of security agencies and voluntary organizations.

“The First Aid Group of JNI has played a critical role in saving lives, responding to emergencies and supporting security operations over the past five decades. Honouring Governor Uba Sani is a recognition of his unwavering support for peace, security and humanitarian services in Kaduna State,” Audu said.

He described the 50th anniversary as a milestone that reflects the resilience, dedication and sacrifice of members of the First Aid Group, urging the younger generation to embrace volunteerism and service to humanity.

The anniversary event featured prayers, award presentations, goodwill messages and a review of the achievements of the First Aid Group of JNI since its establishment 50 years ago.

Dignitaries from government, religious bodies, security agencies and civil society organizations attended the event, which concluded with renewed calls for unity, peace and sustained support for humanitarian and emergency response initiatives in Kaduna State.
