The contractor handling a key section of the Abuja–Kaduna–Kano Expressway, Infiquest Nigeria Limited, has restated its commitment to completing the project by April 25, 2026.

The Site Engineer for Kano projects, Mr. Mohammed Mutraji, made this known while speaking to journalists in Kano.

He emphasized the company’s readiness and determination to meet the agreed deadline, noting that significant progress has already been recorded on the project.

Mutraji explained that the ongoing work covers a 17.3-kilometre stretch between Karfi to Dantata Bridge in Kano State. The section involves a dual asphalt wearing course overlay designed to improve the durability and smoothness of the road.

According to him, the stretch of road leading into Kano from Karfi is already about 80 per cent completed, with construction teams working round the clock to finish the remaining portions.

“We are fully committed to delivering this project on schedule. Our teams are working tirelessly to complete all outstanding sections within the stipulated timeframe,” he said.

He also urged motorists to cooperate with construction workers by obeying traffic rules, particularly during the Sallah festive period when traffic volume is expected to increase.

“Motorists should adhere to traffic diversions and safety signs around the construction zones to ensure their safety and that of our workers,” Mutraji added.

Some motorist who spoke to journalists expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work being carried out. They commended the contractor for maintaining effective traffic control measures and minimizing disruptions despite ongoing construction activities.

The Abuja–Kaduna–Kano Expressway is one of Nigeria’s most strategic highways, linking the Federal Capital Territory to major commercial centres in the North. Its timely completion is expected to ease transportation challenges, reduce travel time, and boost economic activities along the corridor
