The Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland in Ogun state, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, has tasked the Ogun state indigenes residing in Kaduna state on unity.
Oba Ajayi who is the Torungbuwa II made the charge in Kaduna at the weekend during the celebration of the maiden edition of the OGUN DAY 2026.
The monarch who was represented by Oba Olufemi Abayomi Soetan, the Oba of Yoruba of Gonin-Gora, Kaduna state, explained that the strength of unity lies in the power of collective effort, enabling groups to overcome obstacles, increase efficiency, and achieve goals impossible for individuals alone.
In his welcome address, the President of the Ogun State Indigenes Association, Northern States, Prince Adeshina Moh’d Adubi, explained that the occasion is not just an event, but an occasion to reflect on the legacies of their forebearers who had played significant roles in the development of not only the state, but also the country at large.
According to Adubi, the Ogun Day was an historical event that also conferred Post-Humous Awards on some of their late leaders, such as the late President General of the Yoruba Community in the Northern Nigeria, Late Alh. AbdulGaniyu Ishola Oguntoyinbo, Late Alh. Ahmed Ayinde Ajepeaiye, and Elder Yemi Badeijo, amongst others.
While speaking, he applauded the Governor of Kaduna state, Dr. Uba Sani for providing an enabling environment for the non-indigenes to strive in their endeavors in the state without any discrimination.
The Chairman of the occasion, Engr Oluseyi Taiwo acknowledged the efforts of the Adubi-led excos, saying that the initiative of the Ogun House project in Kaduna is laudable and commendable.
While calling on Ogun Sons and Daughters across the world to support the project for its actualization.
