The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kaduna state, Hon. Isa Ashiru, has approved key appointments into his campaign organisation.

The appointment which was announced on Tuesday was to strengthen preparations for the 2027 gubernatorial elections in the state.

In the statement signed and issued by Isa Ashiru himself on Tuesday, had Dr. John Markus Ayuba as the Director-General of the Campaign Organisation, Hon. Bashir Ibrahim Sakadadi is to serve as the Deputy while Hon. Mukhtar Lawal Baloni was appointed as the Secretary of the Campaign Organization.

The appointments reflect the Ashiru’s commitment to an inclusive and result-oriented campaign structure.

According to the statement, the appointments are expected to deepen grassroots mobilisation, and to enhance coordination across the 23 Local Government Areas of the state.

About the appointees

Dr. John Markus Ayuba is a distinguished academic, seasoned banker, and experienced public servant. He was the running mate to Hon. Isa Ashiru in the last elections.

Hon. Bashir Ibrahim Sakadadi is a respected grassroots political leader associated with  the Sakadadi community in the Sabon Gari area of Kaduna state.

Hon. Mukhtar Lawal Baloni was the former Vice Chairman and then Chairman of Kaduna North Local Government. Baloni is a senior member of El-rufai’s camp.

Other appointees are: Mr. Bulus Yohanna, (Protocol Officer), Mallam Ali Musa, (Special Adviser on New Media), Abdulwaheed Olayinka Adubi, (Spokesman), Hon. Auwal B.Z, (Assistant on New Media – Facebook), and Salim Tahiris is to serve as the Special Assistant on New Media (Facebook) / Personal Assistant, 

Ashiru expressed confidence that the appointees would bring their wealth of political experiences, leadership capacity and commitment to achieving victory for the ADC in the scheduled 2027 general elections in the state.
